OOTD June 6th

OOTD June 6th

After a quick little haul to Free People, I figured an OOTD post would serve well in the tiny little hallway next to my apartment. (yay! sketchy!)

Dress From Free People

(woooooo fancy sillouette!)
 Boots from Cabella's
Socks from River Island

Bralette from Free People
I'm totally diggin' the criss cross back. It gives a simple touch to what would be a boringly ordinary dress otherwise.

Thanks for reading up guys!

A Little Bit About Me

Well I am finally getting to posting. Phew. So this is just a little intro about this blog and what you'll be seeing on it. Lets get started!
The Overall Picture:

I clearly own a lot of stuff...
Anyways, this picture encompasses many aspects of my life that ya'll will be seeing.

Music:

I am totally that kid that sings really loudly in the shower and in their car. I'm also that kid that doesn't even realize that they're singing to themselves while in public...awkward... I try to play guitar and ukulele (I'm bad)

Beatles Strap from Bananas at Large
Hot Rod Dark Blue Fender
Ukulele by Luna
White Headphones by Stretch

The Beatles:

I have loved the Beatles for my whole life. They will always be a big part of it. How can you get bored of a band that plays practically every kind of music?

Records and T - shirt were thrifted
Newspaper Replica from Beatlesmania

England:

YAY! It's my bed!

So I like England. But don't get me wrong; I WAS NOT born there. But I was raised by a very proper english man. Literally my dad is the epitome of the english stereotype: He wears super nice clothes all the time, his teeth are dreadful, he played rugby, he was an english choir boy, his name is hugh, he says cheerio etc. I could go on for forever. He's very patriotic so I've always been too. It's like the whole grass is greener thing. I live in Cali, but I dream of England.

Also this causes my style to mix between every californian, and very english. Depends on the season.

Union Jack Pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond (I love that place)
I Phone case from iSkin.com
Stones shirt was my mummy's (wooo hand me downs!)

CocaCola:

I have Coke bottle all around my room. I use them to store my pencils and my hairbands. I love the taste. But mostly I love the history of CocaCola. I've always wanted to go back in time and CocaCola makes me feel like I can. I'm also astonished by there phenomenal advertising campaigns. Coke literally made Santa.

Photography:

I am not a teenage girl with a camera claiming to be a photographer, I promise. I mean hell, I took these pictures with an iPad. And the ones in this picture my boyfriend took. Now he is good at photography. But I'm just saying. I really like pictures and how they capture a moment.

I'll be posting a How To Clothesline Photo Display at some point so here's a sneak peak of it in my room

Fashion:

Finally; Fashion! What this blog is about! So all of the past things will be on the blog in someway, and usually that way is their influence on my fashion. So here's a sneak peek at a bit of my closet!

My Winter Wardrobe:

My winter wardrobe is a bit dark, usually consisting of brown, green and red. I tend to wear a lot of collars (not pictured) so winter is my more English Season. I wear boots everyday with skinny jeans or a skirt/dress. I am a fiend for boots.

Felt Skirt from Topshop
Military Jacket From Buffalo
Denim Jacket from Fox and Bear Vintage (in UK)
Lace Blouse (hence the blog name) from Free People (I live there)
Fuzzy Combat Boots from Doc Marten (only available in UK)

Riding Boots from Steve Madden
Thigh High Socks from River Island
Wool Crew Socks from Cabellas
High Waisted Skinny Jeans from LF

My Summer Wardrobe:

My summer wardrobe consists mostly of shorts and dresses(duh). I make a lot of shorts and alter than with fringe/lace etc. so I may be selling those on here later on. I wear white lace pretty much everyday (hence the blog name) and my favorite sandals. Bralettes are totally my thing and so is Free People.

Lace Blouse from Forever 21
Gem Hairband from LF
Gladiator Sandals from Free People
Flowery Bralette form Free People
High Waisted Lace Trim Shorts from Free People
Belt was my Mummy's

So what are you gonna see on this blog?!?!?!

Well, I'm not absolutely positive to be honest. To start there will be fashion, LOTS OF FASHION. I'm gonna do some how to's on how to style certain items and how to go from day to night. oohhh maybe I'll haze terrible trends. ha.  I'll be doing some DIY, both fashion DIYs and home DIYs (like the picture clothesline above and how to press flowers and make flower headbands, stuff like that). There won't be any make up things, because well. I never wear it so I have no idea what to do with it... I'm sure other things will pop up but mostly
FASHION AND HOME
YAYYY!

Thanks for reading!
